-Eichstätt es famosa por su patrimonio fosil, en especial el jurásico como el Archaeopteryx. A parte de pertenecer a la región de Solnhofen Limestone la cual tiene una formación geográfica excepcional
-Los Vélez es una zona de interés geológico y paleontológico con hallazgos de diferentes periodos y épocas, aunque no tan conocidos a nivel internacional
Entornos naturales protegidos
-Eichstätt está cerca del parque natural de Altmühltal que es una zona con un alto valor ecológico, paisajístico y como ruta de senderismo
-Los Vélez forma parte del parque natural de Sierra María-Los Vélez protegido por si gran biodiversidad, paisajes montaños y bosques. Siendo algo similares a los de Eichstätt pero siendo más áridos

-Ambas regiones cuentan con castillos como elementos predominantes
-Castillo de Eichstätt: Willibaldsburg es una gran fortaleza renacentista
-Castillo de Vélez Blanco: un impresionante castillo renacentista perteneciente al marqués de los Velez
-Ambas zonas cuentan con herencia religiosa significativa siendo Eichstätt una antigua sede episcopal y los Vélez contando con muchas iglesias y conventos históricos
